[December 2011] This report on Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) offers a detailed look at the geographic distribution and readiness levels of Iraqi army, police, counter-terrorism and intelligence units throughout the country, including those of Iraqi Kurdistan. It also includes case studies that explore the potential operational impact of institutional weakness of Iraq’s security ministries, as well as security data and analysis that highlights how security threats differ by geographic region.
